So I’ve recently starting reading Thoreau’s Walden and I’m finding it quite relevant despite its age. I glossed over it in high school without it making too much of an impression, but re-reading it now is very satisfying. Though he discusses and proposes many things in Walden. Thoreau’s critique of modern society and its consumerism is quite accurate. He cuts right to the heart of the matter. I’ll probably post some of my favorite quotes once I’ve had a chance to read the rest of it.
